Every commission begins with a single slab — black walnut, alligator juniper, ancient redwood, eucalyptus — chosen for its grain, its history, and what it wants to become. From there, Andy and his sons integrate what the wood calls for: lapis lazuli, travertine, turquoise, fossil, opal, copper, or iron. The result is a piece that has never existed before and never will again.
Clients come to us building ranch homes, remodeling mountain estates, and furnishing private lodges. They want a table the room is built around — not furniture selected from a catalog.
Our Process
When we start designing a custom piece for our clients we always have a room in mind and an idea that we want to see materialized. It’s our goal to create a piece of art for that room to surround. In the past our clients have redesigned their floor plans to better fit the slabs they found in our lumber yard. When we come across a new idea or space it doesn’t take long before we have the perfect piece of wood for it. It’s God’s gift to us to be blessed with such an inspiring line of work!

Our Guarantee
We guarantee to put our passion and artistic abilities into every piece. Two pieces will never be exactly the same, but every piece will have the same creative integrity. With every work, we guarantee that you will be completely satisfied or we will continue to iterate through the design and work with you until your story is told through the piece. Every piece is delivered with documentation of its materials and origin. A record for the piece and for the generations it will outlast.
Black Walnut Rocker in production
A finish that will last for generations
We believe that when you touch a piece furniture, you should feel the materials. Our finish is one of the many things that sets our pieces apart. We take a lot of care to sand, then closely examining our work for any leftover blemishes. This achieves a surface that will often have a shine before any finish has been applied.
Once the sanding is completed, we begin a two-week process of oiling and waxing. This produces a finish that is extremely durable. In the event that something does happen to your piece, the oil and wax finish is easily repaired - unlike a lacquer finish, which has to be completely stripped and reapplied even to fix a small scratch.
